E series and N series : Bridge The Gap
Hello Readers,
I am an avid Nokia E-series phone user or you may even call me a DIE HARD E-series FAN. As you must be aware i am currently using an E90 and earlier i was using an E51. The part one of my endeavor with the E90 can be found here. Saying this i want to make something very clear that I have nothing against the N-series. Actually with this post i want to make a few suggestion and want to share a few grievance which i have against Nokia.

Why doesn’t Nokia Bridge the Gap between E-series and N-series. I would want to discuss this topic Point wise hope you guys enjoy reading this Post and put in your comments. I don’t mean that the present phones have not offered us with quality features but sometimes i tend to feel that why can’t my E-Series Device do what the other N-Series has to offer. I’m sure some of you N-Series users out there too want to taste a few Masala features of the E-series in your device.
1. QWERTY N-series:

Just because there is no ‘N’ in the word QWERTY doesn’t mean that N-Series don’t deserve a QWERTY Keypad. When will Nokia come up with a QWERTY N-series. I understand the point that Nokia wants to keep the market of the E-series and N-series distinct but then what happens to customers like me who want a QWERTY handset but also dont want to compromise on their MUSIC. This will sooner or later lead to people looking for other options and even DIE-HARD Nokia fans will look other places. At this point in the Mobile market there is no device which combines both a QWERTY keypad and Spectacular Music features. Nokia should immediately tap this segment market. Okay i know that i’m not the only one out here who thinks this and there were some rumors about a N99 a year ago but we still don’t see it, so all of you of the same frequency opinion can jot your feedback below.
2. Camera in the E-series:
I currently use an E90. The phone is approx. worth $900 (sim-free) and the camera that Nokia provides is a mere 3.2 MP with Auto focus. I dont say that the camera in the E90 is worthless the camera quality is very nice. I agree that other buisness phones like the Sony Ericsson P1i also come with a 3.2 MP camera but then isn’t Nokia supposed to be a Step a head than the others?

I would love to see a 5 MP Af Carl Zeiss Camera on an E-series it is high time that the Monopoly of N95 and N82 over good cameras is destroyed. After all E stands for Extraordinary.
3. A 2.5 mm jack is obsolete:
A standard feature in all E-series phones is a 2.5 mm jack while all N-series have a standard 3.5mm jack.

This question has been asked millions and millions of times WHY. Even Nokia Express music phones which Nokia has come out have a standard 3.5mm jack. These devices are half the price of what a High End E-series cost but the E-series has a 2.5 mm jack. So customers like me use converters but isn’t it high time Nokia starts providing standard 3.5 mm jacks so that Die-Hard E-series fans also can enjoy their music with better headphones. Okay all you Bluetooth Headsets freaks, i understand that you would say that why not use the wireless option but i feel wired headsets/handsfree too are important.
I am not here to criticize Nokia all i am trying to say is this is how NOKIA CAN COMPLETLY CAPTURE THE PHONE MARKET
